Sexual Abuse
At the Miami Counseling & Resource Center, our therapists/counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrist are experienced in helping child, adolescent and adult survivors of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse as well as post-traumatic stress disorder. We provide a safe place for survivors to gain strength, learn healthy coping mechanisms, and develop trusting and caring relationships through both individual and group therapies. In addition, we have therapists and psychologists trained in
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and
Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), two well know and
effective approaches that are often used in the treatment of abuse and
trauma related issues. Our team at the Miami Counseling & Resource Center
believes that as you progress through your own healing process you will
learn that it is possible to not only "‘survive," but to truly be "alive."
