Sexual Problems
As part of our commitment to provide a full range of services to our clients, the Miami Counseling & Resource Center offers treatment for a variety of sexual problems and disorders. Sexual dysfunction is a very common problem, and can usually be treated psychologically and behaviorally. In fact, many sexual problems have emotional or psychological components that are the basis for the sexual difficulties. Treatment for sexual problems is provided by our clinical staff, one of whom is a certified sex therapist. We work in conjunction with a variety of professionals and experts in the community to provide innovative and effective treatment in order to improve the quality of life and sexual satisfaction for our clients. Couples or individuals can be seen, depending on the nature of the problem and needs of the client. Often times, couples find that their relationships are more fulfilling and intimate as their sexual functioning improves. Addressing sexuality in treatment can greatly accentuate the work done in couples therapy/ counseling. Treatment is available for erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sexual aversions, low sexual arousal, sexual conflicts, as well as issues related to orthopedic injuries, age, sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s), infidelity, cultural factors and sexual education.
